It has been about 20 years since I last set foot inside Roller Kingdom in Tyngsboro, MA. Bob and I spent a huge chunk of our teen years either at RK. And when we weren't there we were either hanging out with skating friends, or searching for skating music in Boston.
I drove to RK with Mike. Although he couldn't skate with us because of his MS, I think he had a fun time getting out.
Hahahaha.. Bob actually bought an IOU sweatshirt on Ebay in honor of the occassion.
Yours truly was pretty excited to realize that he hadn't forgotten how to skate. I even skated the backwards skate (my favorite!) Didn't even fall once.
I think it is time to initiate the kids.
