Tall Ships 2009
I left work early today to bring the kids to see the Tall Ships in Boston.
We went to the Charlestown Navy Yard first. Before boarding the boats Mary needed to feed Anna, so we hung out in this little park and did that until Anna was full.
Robby struck a pose on this cannon in front of one of the tall ships.
We first waited in line to board the Amistad.
It was a beautiful day.
Now there's a steering wheel!
Someone was nice enough to snap a family picture of all of us.
The crew was so nice. They even gave the kids a few souvenirs like these commemerative coins.
Next we went on this newer battleship. I think the boys thought that was cooler.
After having a bite to eat we took one of the MBTA boats to see some more ships.
The boat dropped us near the Aquarium. Lucky for us there was an Emack and Bolios right there. Robby orders a cosmic crunch. He ate it all so quick, that we both split a 2nd Perfect Peach.
We got a bit sidetracked by the ice cream and a cool water fountain in the new park above the Big Dig. We decided it was getting late so we should head back by way of Quincy Market. Of course along the way we foudn this crazy awesome balloon guy and stopped to listen to some street performers.
Luckily, we had the Baby Bjorn, so Anna got to take it all in. She was totally loving the street performers doing the drums.
We took the Orance Line back to Malden to pick up my car. The kids love it anytime we take the subway.
