Coordination
I knew Mary would enjoy dressing Anna up in all sorts of girly dresses. I never thought I would enjoy it too. But she just looks so adorable.
Hmm, look what I found, a foot.
Anna is exploring a lot more what she can do with her hands. She tries to pick up anything within reach, and often times tries to taste it. Yummy bus!
It is a funny thing about babies and coordination. Watching them learn how to control their movement is very interesting. Anna moves her hands in a jerky kind of way, sometimes slow, but then fast. So if she is playing with a toy she will try to slwoly pick it up, but then all of a sudden she will get so excited or something and her hands will just fling around and the toy will go flying.
I sometimes will put my face right up to her and she will slowly touch my face, then whack! whack! whack! Out of nowhere she is slapping me silly. And when she does it, her eyes open wide in disbelief that she just did it. Almost like she thinks her hands are being controlled by someone else.
