Soccer

Mary signed Robby up for soccer this Summer. When I was little, I didn't do many intramural sports. I wish I had. On our way to soccer this morning, Robby wanted me to see his latest piece of artwork - dedicated to Mommy. Ben looked a little tired. I hadn't been to see Robby play, so Mary brought me up to speed. Basically, the girls are way better than the boys. Of course, I remember when I was a kid growing up in school they taught us that girls mature faster than boys. I remember at that time I didn't believe it. I mean who wants to think they are inferior? Anyway, watching soccer practice, it did become pretty apparant, that the girls just got it, and the boys, well... The coach had the kids line up and do one on one drills. When Robby and the only other boy went one on one, it was a riot. Robby just started kicking and kicking. Before you knew it, he was way off the field just running after the ball and kicking it. The coach was like, "You have to kick it toward the goal!" Anyway, Robby got his act together and kicked it back onto the field and even scored a goal. But, then came the tough competition - the girls. Robby over powered this girl and scored on her. No mercy. Go Robby! After class, all the kids got stickers. Even though he didn't play, Ben got a sticker too. We went to Burger King for dinner. First time in years. Chicken fries were about what I thought they would be. Seems like most fast food restaurants these days have playgrounds. Genius. Although Ben looks a bit panicked in this picture, I assure you he was having a good time. Wheeee! Here I come! Woohoo! BK Chicken Fries! Woohoo! Hi Daddy! For the ride home the kids got lollipops. Mmmmm lollipop!
