This morning I was planning to take the kids to Lowell for a picnic breakfast with Uncle Bob while Mary slept at home after her overnight shift. That last part was important, because I was planning to call TeleCharge during breakfast to order tickets to
So You Think You Can Dance for Mary's birthday. Tickets were going on sale at 10am this morning. Well, Mary threw a kink in my plans by insisting she would come along for breakfast. Hmmm how I am I gonna pull this off now?

Well, we piled in the car and headed to Paradise Diner to pick up breakfast. On the way I called up Bob and told him to meet us there. I couldn't help ordering the coffee roll.

I think Robby was glad I got it.

When Bob arrived, we all headed over to Boarding House Park for our picnic. Ben was really happy to see Lily. I think she kind of liked the attention too.

Lily was looking cuter than ever. The weather was really beautiful and I think she liked that. I know I did.

Mary loves spending time with Lily. I wonder if we will ever have a little girl she can play with.

After breakfast, Robby went up on stage to perform for us.

Seeing Bob and Lily together I remember thinking Bob was really starting to get comfortable being a father. I think Lily was happy to have some Daddy time. Just after I took this picture, I noticed Mary had taken off with Ben, so I quickly whispered to Bob about the tickets, and asked him if he could call Lori and she could order them. I was lucky that Lori was home and able to help me out. Thanks Lori!

After breakfast we headed to
Fun World for Ishan's 4th birthday party. Ishan is one of Robby's best friends from school.

It's probably been nearly 20 years since I have been to Fun World. They didn't have this carousel here then.

Ishan is a pretty lucky kid. It was about the best birthday party I have ever been to. And look at that cake!

After pizza and cake, Robby and Ben ran around with Ishan and his friends in this huge multi-level playground area with balls and slides and tunnels. I had fun too chasing Ben around.

Cool! Air hockey...

Mary's favorite.

After three solid hours of hard play, I think we were the last of Ishan's friends to leave. But, before we left we had to try out the roller coaster simulator. Double cool!
