Cow Boat

This morning my wife made two brilliant decisions. The first was to visit Shelburne Farms. Shelburne Farm is the biggest farm I have ever seen. It was beautiful too. It sort of looked like a castle. When we arrived, there was no one there. So, we got really great attention. One of the farm hands helped Robby gather some eggs in a basket. Then she helped him milk a cow! Mary tried too. After spending some time with the animals, we learned how cheese is made. They actually made it there right in front of us. And we had a few samples, which apparantly were a bit too refined for my bland palate. Blech! Anyhow, after some lunch, a ride in the car, and a little nap for the boys, Mary's second brilliant decision came into play. She called a boat rental place and rented us a boat. The weather and Lake Champlain could not have been more beautiful. First Mate Ben and Captain Mommy at the helm. Grandpa Bob ready to nap. Then Skipper Robby took over. It was the best boat ride I've ever been on. When we got back on shore, we played at the playground for a few minutes... before heading up to Church Street for dinner. Robby pushed Ben the whole way. Sweetwater here we come.
