The Wind
I got home from work early today. The sun was out and the kids wanted to go outside. So, I asked them if they wanted to go for a wagon ride down to the lake. Is that an ambiguous question?
They grabbed their new styrofoam planes, climbed into the wagon and I pulled them down to the lake.
As we went down the steep hill to the lake, the wind started to really pick up. When we got to the beach, Robby asked me, "Daddy, where does the wind come from?"
Hmmm... Where does the wind come from?
So, we called in a wind expert, my Dad. He was kind enough to explain in simple terms that it is the heating and cooling of the air that causes wind. So, it makes sense that near the cold water on a warm day, it could be pretty windy.
Thanks Grandpa! We'll see you next month in Nohio (that's how Robby says it.) Hehe
