Mary enrolled Robby in Westford U6 soccer. Robby's first real experience with team sports. When we arrived for the first game, their were 10 kids on his team. The coach said, okay we are gonna split into two games of five on five. YOU! He pointed right at me. You will coach this team. Huh? ME?
I had never played soccer on a team ever, much less coached any sport. But, I have to said I had a blast. Robby was actually on the team that the "coach" coached.
I was coaching the other team. The kids all sort of just ran at the ball and kicked it any which way. I think each team actually ended up scoring for the opposing team - hehe. But, the kids had a fun time, and that is what is most important if you ask me.
While Robby and I were out on the field, Mary and Mr. Cool hung out on the sidelines.
