"...If anyone remembers Tony and Ann's in North Chelmsford, this is very similar, great dough, sauce that is thick and a little sweet, and great cheese."
I will be doing a road trip on Saturday for sure.

With Game One of the Celtics happening tonight, I decided to call this place up and order a pizza to see for myself.
I was totally floored when I asked them if I needed to call in advance to order a pizza, and they asked me if I wanted it hot or frozen. HOT or FROZEN? Is this place run by Tony and Anns or something? So, I ordered my frozen.
Here it is just before I unwrapped it to put it in the oven.
I have to say, after it was cooked, if you look closely at the cheese, I think it is the same exact cheese Tony and Ann's used to use. If you look closely you can see the oil pooling in spots.
I put three slices on a plate and headed down to the basement for tip-off.
It was not long before I was back for two more slices.
Hmmm.. where did it go?
So, by now maybe you are thinking, holy crap! It's the real deal. Well, I am sorry to say, the pizza was very good, but it is not Tony and Anns. The dough may be even better than Tony and Anns and the cheese, well I swear that is the same stuff. But the sauce. Unfortunately the sauce is not that soupy sweet sauce that Tony and Anns used to make. It was thicker and has a taste more like one of the sauces you would get on a pizza from the deli section of your local supermarket. Overall it was very good, but certainly not the second coming.
I will certainly enjoy the other half of the pizza for Game Two. :-) Go Celtics!
