The Envelope Please
On her birthday, Mary had an ultrasound.
My mom went with her (unfortunately I had to work.)
She is only 19 weeks and about 10 ounces in weight. Tiny little thing.
I am saying "She" because I have this feeling that I finally did it, I think I brought the X chromosome.
Mary had this idea, that since it is her birthday, she would ask the technician if she was sure of the baby's gender to write it down on a piece of paper which we could open during her birthday dinner.
But when we went out for dinner, she never brought the envelope. I really want to know. But I think it is a girl.
When we got home from dinner, we all celebrated Mary's brithday with some cake and song. Then when I asked her to open the envelope, she said she would wait until her Mom comes out to visit in September.
I just feel the baby is a girl.
After Mary ate her cake, the baby started kicking a lot.
Mary and I sat on the couch and I put my hand on her belly. I felt the baby kick a little, but then she calmed down and took a nap. I love you baby.. Sweet dreams.
Happy Birthday sweetie - 90% girl
