Acadia
Yesterday we drove up to Bar Harbor Maine.
With no real plans, we woke up this morning, got breakfast and headed into town. After spending some time in the whale museum, the kids decided they wanted to just lounge a bit and just watch the waves come in.
I didn't know that big cruise ships docked in Bar Harbor.
It was nice just relaxing and taking in the fresh sea air.
I think my sweetie needed a little rest.
While everyone relaxed I tried to figure out which was the best tour for us to take of Acadia National Park.
We all got on a bus and headed for Acadia National Park. The first stop was Thunder Rock. Robby and I got off the bus to check it out.
It was really cool. There was this section of rock that was corroded away from years of waves. And when the tide goes up and down, sometimes it smashes against the rocks making a thunder sound.
Although it was a little chilly, it sure was beutiful there.
As Ben napped, we headed towards Cadillac Mountain.
The view was amazing.
As we drove higher and higher our tour guide told us stories about growing up in Bar Harbor.
My buddies on top of the world, in Maine.

Our tour guide snapped a nice group photo.
After our tour we went to Poor Boys for dinner. It was so good that we were too stuffed to try the lobster ice cream.
For real, this place has lobster ice cream.
