Shrek visited the kids preschool yesterday. When Mary picked up the kids, she found out the Chelmsford Police were holding a special event for children tonight featuring the one and only Shrek!
Robby and Ben had never seen Shrek and were really excited to go see the movie. It was playing on a big screen in the back of McCarthy Junior High School.
One of the police men let Robby sit on his bike and signal the sirens. They were loud!
I couldn't believe it, Shrek was even there in the flesh. Uh, sort of. Robby's friend Ishan from school showed up, and we watched the whole movie sitting with him and his family. It was so much fun. It made me think of when I was a kid and went to the drive-in to see Star Wars.
