Hand Prints

I invited Bob over this morning so we could put together a little birthday package for Grandpa. When they arrived, we decided to play outside for awhile first. Lily and Ben liked the swings. Robby started off Grandpa's card with a picture of a great big whale (inspired by his recent viewing of Pinochio) and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA! I was impressed to see that Lily was now holding her bottle on her own. So independent. This is what Grandpa's card looked like when the kids were done. The kids were proud. Robby and Ben tried hard to convince me to let them watch some TV as a reward for their incredible art work. But daddy is tough as nails, and held them off. Meanwhile Lily took to the piano. What you lookin at Willis? After Bob and Lily took off, Ben and I took a nap together until we were woken by some noise outside. They were cutting down trees in the neighborhood that were hanging to close to the electric lines. Here is the before picture. And this is what our tree looked like after. A bit of a pruning I'd say. Ben was completely fascinated. We stayed and watched for at least half an hour. Uh, bad hair day for Daddy.
