Pepper Rings
Robby is getting pretty good at riding his bike without training wheels.
This morning we rode up and down our street.
I hope when you die, images like this just flash through your head over and over again. And there are lots of hugs for everyone.
I think Ben may be ready later this year.
Around noon we headed over to Johnson's to celebrate Bob's birthday.
Uh, or was it Ben's birthday?
Trying for the group photo.
Robby and Ben just love to poke and prod at Lily.
Uh-oh, I think Lily has the Bob flash/blink gene.
After we ate cake, we enjoyed a little hike through the woods before we headed off for a ride on the Groton bike path.
Robby's tricky balancing act.
I remember when I was looking at Robby in the woods, a little sliver of sun shined down through the trees onto his cheek and it reminded me of the time Mary and I went camping near Calistoga and she lay asleep in the car on the ride home with the sun shining through the window on her.
Tonight, Mary had to work. I watched a good but depressing movie - Fast Food Nation. Ben was crying all night. Maybe he was missing Mommy? A bad dream? When I picked him up and cuddled him he fell back asleep. It is just devestating the total trust/dependance of a child. It fills you with a love like no other.
