Basement Update - Week Ten

When we returned from Florida, we were happy to find the basement nearly finished. The painters had finished painting. The elctrical inspection took place, so the lights were now working. And many of the lights were set up with dimmers which was a really cool unexpected thing. It almost looks like a dance studio, huh? Taken from the front wall, you can see all the sunlight coming in from the back windows. I am very please with how things have turned out. I almost wish we didn't have to put up the bedroom wall, the effect of the one large room is pretty cool. The basement even has its own separate thermostat/zone. The tiles are now done in the bathroom too. I think they came out really good. The color we picked for the bathroom walls really goes well with the tiles. I can't believe we have 4 bathrooms now. Wow! The plumber still needs to come back to install the toilet and the bath/shower fixtures. Paul needs to add the last wall and put in the bookshelves here. The plumber needs to also install the galley sink. We also need to move the refrigerator into its spot. And the stair rugs still need to be installed. But that is really it. Then the basement will be done.
