IMDB: Danny and Freya are two teenagers, living in an Australian rural town in 1962. They have known each other all their lives and are very close friends. The film is superb. Shown through Danny's eyes, we see his passion for Freya. The film shows us things which we can all relate to. Young Danny holds on desperately to his childhood friendship with Freya, in awe of her coming of age. He then watches, still holding on, as Freya gets involved with the recluse Trevor. Simple and straightforward, the film is stellar at all angels - this makes my top ten for sure. - Followed by the sequel Flirting.
