Being There
1979

One of Peter Sellers last appearances, and probably the best of his career. Chance has lived a sheltered life, working as a live in gardener. He finds himself forced out on the street after his employer of so many years passes away. Strolling the streets of Washington DC, quite by accident he is hit by a car. From this little incident, which left him with no more than a slight limp, he is taken into a life of power and prestige. Although Chance is no more than a gardener, he is looked upon otherwise by his new group of friends. This film is satire at its best, a stellar script and a stellar cast bring this film to the top.
