Mommy's Home
11 May 2004

Today, Mary and Benjamin returned home from the hospital. I do not know what we would do if my mom (Nana) and Mary's mom (Grandma) weren't here to help us through all of this. Grandma has been keeping a close eye on Benjamin since we returned from the hospital.

Mary and I have tried to spend a good amount of our time with Robby. We have heard the stories of first borns getting jealous of the new baby and we wanted to make sure Robby knew that his mother and father loved him very much.

Lucky for Robby he has lots of people that love him. My Dad and Nancy (Nanagrammy) showed up at the hospital yesterday morning and dropped off the coolest toddler present I could ever imagine. Robby's first keyboard. He was mesmerized for a solid hour this afternoon.

Tonight was one of those tough new-dad nights. When I put Robby to bed, he got upset that he couldn't stay up and play. So, he cried for his mother. When Mary came up he didn't want anything to do with me. I guess I can understand how he must have felt, since she has not been home for the past two nights. I have missed her too. But, then I came downstairs and changed Benjamin's diaper. He peed on me. Tough night.
