Quebec with Loly
29 May 2010

We arrived in Quebec City pretty late yesterday evening.

Today we explored the city. This cool water fountain was right outside the front door of our hotel.

Old Quebec is so pretty.

It feels so much like you are walking the streets of Paris.

Look at the face that lady is making at us.. haha

There are cool tunnels and alleys between the buildings. I think Anna had a fun time on my shoulders just looking around at all the new sites. The coolest thing about Old Quebec is there are no cars allowed on the main streets, so Anna can just run and hop all she wants.

This picture was taken at the top of the stairs going from Old Quebec to New Quebec. You can see Hotel Chateau Frontenac where Mary and I stayed for a Thanksgiving getaway we had about 10 years go. Or, maybe longer?

Another picture taken on the streets of Old Quebec.

Ben and Rob had fun exploring the tunnels.

Anna too!

Oh no, Robby has been captured.

Ben too.. Seems a little happy to be prisoner.

Looking up the street from where we were you could see the tram that we took to go from New Quebec back down to Old Quebec.

Anna took a little nap before our boat ride.

So, Loly and I took a break too.

Chateau Frontenac from the boat we went on.

The boat went up the Hudson River to a waterfall which you can barely see in the distance behind Ben and I.

We quickly asked a stranger to snap a picture of us before you could no longer see the waterfall.. of course we were a bit too late.. hehe But Mary sure looks beautiful doesn't she?

The boat ride was really a bit underwhelming.. But that didn't stop Hat Man from keeping himself amused. haha

When we got back from our boat trip, we went back up to New Quebec where the kids got a kick out of seeing the cannons.

Fire!

I love this picture of Loly and Anna.

Three generations.

Anna wanted to sit on the cannons too.

This statue sits atop Old Quebec.

One more family shot in the streets of Old Quebec.

Anna and Mommy.
