Scott
4 June 2004

You never know when or which people will change your life. Almost four years ago I got my first email from Scott. He wrote me regarding a position I had applied for in his group. About a week later he interviewed me along with Rachael. Then a few weeks later I had the job where I have been working ever since.

At the time I never knew that we would end up good friends and he would some day move on. Today is his last day at the DOE. Scott has had a real tough past few years with medical problems, but has never let that get his spirits down. He is always bright, caring and concerned about his friends and coworkers. I am going to miss him. He told me that he is hoping to move to Australia for awhile if he can catch a break. If you know anyone in Australia that might be able to help him find a good graphics design job, please let me know.

I was hoping to put a picture of Scott in here from tonight's farewell party at The Texas Roadhouse in Everett, but I forgot to bring in the camera. I think I may be able to get a picture from someone else. If I do, I will update this with a picture later.

This morning Robby gave me lots of kisses. I gave Ben a kiss before I left for work. I think the hugs and kisses are the best part of being a parent.
