On The River
18 May 2004

I had today off from work. In the morning I held Ben for awhile while his mom took a shower and Grandma watched Robby. Ben sleeps a lot, like almost 20 hours a day. His pediatrician said he looks like he is progressing great (already he has put on two ounces). His neck muscles are growing stronger, he is really starting to move his head around mostly rooting. I know that he cannot see very well yet, but when I talk I can tell that he knows it is me.

This afternoon Grandma, Mary & I, Robby & Ben went for a stroll on the Merrimack. We brought some bread so we could feed the ducks. Unfortunately, we only saw one duck, and he was just too far from the shore for us to reach with the bread. So, Robby and I just made pretend we were feeding the ducks. We had just as much fun. While we were walking on the river, Robby saw a jet-ski. When it skied out of sight, Robby would shout, "Jet-Ski come back here NOW!"
